Some of our members may be familiar with Lindsay and Francesca Thorne, owners of the local business Magnum Signs, experts in corporate signage and branding. They have recently joined the TD Automobile Club with their 2013 HSV Club Sport R8 and are also enthusiastically involved with the supplying of trophies, signs and merchandise for the Macedon Ranges Grand Tour.
Outside of work, Lindsay and Fran are involved with the Woodend Lifestyles Carers Group Inc, of which Fran is Vice-President. Woodend Lifestyles Carers are a community group focused on not only the well being of people living with dementia but also the carers and family members who look after them. The Group’s latest achievement has been building Macgregor’s Farm, a newly constructed day care centre for people with dementia.
Fran is very proud of the effort and work that has gone into the Macgregor’s Farm project and has invited us to the Farm to learn about how it came about and the Woodend Lifestyles Carers Group in general.
As usual, the evening will be catered, with a $20 dining fee.
On the night, members will go straight to Macgregor’s Farm…and when the evening is over, if you have forgotten where you parked your car, you’re probably already in the right place!
Times and agenda:
Where: Macgregor’s Farm 78 Old Lancefield Road, Woodend North.
