Club Permits Scheme

Club Permits Scheme
The VicRoads Club Permit Scheme (CPS) allows members of eligible vehicle clubs limited use of their eligible historic vehicles (for either 45 or 90 days per year) on the road network.
As an approved VicRoads Vehicle Club, TD Automobile Club can sign off on CPS applications to VicRoads.
Club Permit Rules
To keep your club permit, you must:
1. Remain a member of an approved club or association. If you switch clubs, you can’t have a gap longer than 14 days between your memberships.
2. Keep a log book of your trips
3. Make sure anyone driving the vehicle follows their licence conditions
4. Inform VicRoads of any of the following changes.
5. Vehicle details (e.g modifications, vehicle colour, or garage address)
6. Personal details change (address, name)
7. Changing Club
8. Take the vehicle for an audit inspection if requested by VicRoads
9. Follow any vehicle operating conditions (e.g. passenger limits or day time use only) and carry certificate of approved operations in vehicle during use.
10. Renew your Club Permit on time.
BE AWARE – If your Club membership lapses, so does your vehicles’ Club Permit!
Submitting Applications to VicRoads
With all new CPS applications and Change of Club notifications it is necessary for documents to be submitted in person at a VicRoads Customer Service Centre. This can sometimes be very difficult for some members given that VicRoads operates during normal business hours.
TD Automobile Club is able to do this for you!
To take away the hassle, in capacity as your agent, we can prepare all your documents and photos, go to VicRoads to submit the paperwork and collect the plates and then fit the plates to your vehicle.
For this service, TD Automobile Club charges $60.
